The desktop in general usage

A clean GNOME Desktop - this is what we start with.  Double clicking on any of the Icons on the desktop will yield an application, as will clicking on the "Applications" link in the top left.
Using the file browser (nautilus) to browse the network for Windows shares. Currently showing some files on a remote server called "TUX".

Thin client applications, GNOME now has an integrated application called VINO that allow one to "share" their desktop with another user via VNC. (much like the option now available in Windows XP)

Also shown is "tsclient" which is an RDP client for Linux .. allows users to run Terminal Server sessions against a Windows Terminal Server.
