The user guide needs a little more work - I will get to it. Burning

Really need someone to do some research on "splash" and "framebuffer" for me .. there appears to be a bug in the standard vesa driver when used with Intel based graphics cards. (i810 and 830/845 embedded types) Means that once you've switched to X11, switching back to an fb screen just gives garbage ..
That and fb is pretty hit'n'miss .. all the driver seem to implement parameters in different ways .. :-(
Still .. I've not yet managed to find a machine on which X11 doesn't come up cleanly .. :-)
